There are only six continents. Even when I was
in grade school I thought it was idiotic to call
Europe a continent separate from Asia when they
are obviously joined together. Europe is not much
more, in terms of area, than a pimple on the butt
of Asia. It is only because of the political power
of western Europeans that the overinflated idea
of Europe as a separate continent ever arose.
I note, also, that most of the people who have
answered your question don't know how to spell
Antarctica.
