I had a UTI around that same time too. My OB gave me an antibiotic that was safe to take and everythign was fine. You should tell your doctor and they will make you give a urine sample. Try Cranberry juice too or the pills by AVO!

It is very common but YES it can be harmful. I was in the hospital for 3 days while I was PG because of a UTI. Dont let it get out of hand or go for more than 3 days with out calling a DR. make sure you drink lots of water and crandberry juice.

Unrinary tract infections are very uncomplicated in pregnant women and if its no longer dealt with may bring about a miscarrage. i'm on my fifth being pregnant and that i must drink water all day each day and if I slack somewhat it starts burning when I pee and hurting. UTI's are common during pregnancies. My mother had one while carrying me, and i'm fine!

Just get to the doctor and treat it, so it doesn't become a kidney infection. I just got out of the hospital with one, it's painful. A lot of x-ray work and catscans which IS dangerous to the baby's health.

It could be harmful if it progresses on to the kidneys from the bladder and urethra.

Please do not wait for Wednesday's appointment--call either your family doctor or the doctor's office where you are scheduled for Wednesday.
Get the treatment going soon ! and push fluids while you are waiting.

Yes it can be very harmful and cause you to lose the baby if you don't get it treated . If you know you have it go see your doctor for antibiotics and don't just take any you have at home, you have to take ones that are safe when pregnant. Don't leave it. And don't take anything for pain over the counter.
GO SEE YOUR DOCTOR

probably not because you arent really that far along. Just make sure to tell your doctor on wednesday. He will probably give you a mild antibiotic to clear it up or just tell you to drink lots of cranberry juice. (cranberry juice would be good to help relieve the symptoms till you go too).

I had one when I was pregnant and the doctor told me it is very common. Although, it sounds like you have these often. You should tell you doctor about those and he will prescribe some pills for you.
