though you can try silicone they sell for that purpose, a ten gallon tank costs around ten dollars brand new I got one at walmart costing that. its best to get a new tank because you don't want to come home to a dry tank and dead fish because your experimental repair didn't work

There are silicone sealers that are specially formulated for fish tanks. Check when you go to the hardware store -- don't use ones formulated for baths.

Make sure you let the tank dry out thoroughly before using the sealer. And give it a good 24 hours to cure at least.

You can purchase aquarium silicon from Pet Smart or similar store. Follow manufactures direction.

Clear silicone, It's waterproof and it works. Liguid nails is a very good product.
