I have been living in Ohio all my life. I moved to Atlanta when I was 18 and got homesick and been back ever since(about 10 yrs). I haven't been having any good luck with men or jobs and I stay depressed. I have the opportunity to go move to Atlanta. Should I go? My guy friend says he can help try to make my life better if I stay. But I don't know.

What do you want to do? If you feel you're at a standstill where you are, then maybe new surroundings will help. You've lived in ATL before so it's not like it'll be completely new if you go.

Think about what you want out of life, and then how you can get that. If you don't feel Ohio is the place for it, then go elsewhere...this life is too short to waste it moping about what you don't have, when you have the ability to change it.

Good luck!

I grew up in Atlanta so I may be a little biased here. It is a great city. Try going back and stick it out this time. You may find out you will love it also. People are very friendly and easy to get to know. Give it some time and you will be able to make a decision. You have to take chances in life or you miss out on some wonderful things. Go online to Atlanta home page and send resumes to jobs your interested in. See all the great things about Atlanta. Good Luck. I hope I was of some help. I Miss Atlanta so much. I wish I could move back there myself.

Well you need to change something in your life to get out of the rut that your in. I would suggest to think long and hard about what made you homesick in the first place to come back, how you have changed over the last 10 years, and what could have made your trip to Atlanta better. Then think of the things Atlanta/ your friend can offer you, and evaluate your findings. Also remember that you don't need to move just to get out of the problems your in now, there are many options. msg me if you want help, I was recently in your position, and so far i think i made the right choice for me.

I dont think I want to know what your guy friend had in mind in order to make you stay (unless he has had a crush on you for awhile now and wants you to settle down with you) you should ask your friend what he had in mind (hopeing that it is something clean) if he is a butthead and wants to have you for perks and doesnt really like you then yes I believe it is time to move on. Go to Atlanta and go out into the nightlife, you never know you may find a great guy. Or when you least expect it, you may have a wonderful man fall into your lap and life.

If depression is your problem then moving to Atlanta (or anywhere else) isn't going to help. If moving will give you a better job then I'd go.

If theres nothing good for u at where u are at, at this point then whats keeping u there? Things might be better if u go. And if u don't go then u might be missing out, and wonder how it could have been if u would of gone.

Go for it. You dont want to be alone for the rest of your life and if you dont like it there you can always move back home.

I think you should def try it. That way when you look back in life, you will not have any regrets.. of what if i had..? So if you had the chance to, try it! you never know what will happen. if it doesnt' work, then on well, at least you gave it a chance!
