Democrats care about your votes. Other than that I don't see where there much care for you at all. Unless you live in New Jersey where the democrats decided I could cough up another 1 percent in sales tax.

With love like that I'll be voting Republican.

Yeah, right! They care for our money. That's about it.

I mean, of course, there are some Democrats who truly care. But most of them are pure politicians, just like anyone else. To believe otherwise is to be a sucker.

But even if you find Democrats who truly care, that isn't enough. The old saying is that "the road to hell is paved with good intentions". Democrats over the past 50 years have become completely duped by the mantra of socialism, a failed system at best. The only reason Bush got re-elected is because Democrats can't break free from that socialist foolishness, and more than half the nation recognizes it to be pure idiocy. Until the Democrats learn something about economics, it doesn't matter whether they truly care or not. They will move us closer and closer to disaster until they give up that nonsense.

In the last ten years or so, there has been this disturbing, progressive, lack of definition of the Democratic and Republican parties.

I don't know if Democrats are any less caring or sensitive to the needs of the working class than Republicans.

Since Bush has come to office, there has been a turn towards more stringently conservative agendas, like the abortion issues and gay marriage. But, many Republicans are now starting to back away from hard-core support of these GOP staples because they have become too exclusive.

But the Democrats have compromised so many of their core beliefs for the sake of votes that they have forgotten how important it is to retain the core values of their party. So now, "why bother voting for a Democrat. Seems like so many of their beliefs are similar to Republicans." This is something a lot people, Democrats and Republicans, have been saying. It really does work to the advantage of the Republicans.

I am doubtful that Democrats care for any group of people more than Republicans. If you look past the the ultra-conservative, radical-Christian elements that Bush has surrounded himself with, then you will realize that there are quite a few Republicans more sensitive to environmental concerns, and the concerns of those "under-represented" members of the population.

Bear in mind that this comment is coming from a registered Democrat, hence the disgust I feel towards the way my party has conducted themselves.

When you stand by your core beliefs, and work to reinforce them, not compromising, then you have an easier time campaigning and getting votes. Otherwise, it is too easy to be a "waffler", which is a greater weakness than presenting arguments people disagree with.

What the Dems really care about is the personal power their positions give them. The solutions that they offer the people don't work.

The people have come to realize that Socialism has failed. How many more New Deals and Great Societies do we have to have before the Democrats get it. You can't use government spending programs to solve social problems.

Jobs don't come from the government and the smaller the government is the more jobs there will be. Let's get the Democrats the "REALLY care" out of Washington so we can have some real economic growth in this country.

Jack wake up, your dreaming again. Democrats do appear to care about the poor and have set up some great give away programs for them. But if you study the results of these programs you begin to see it is a program to keep the poor poor. They never have a self help plan, just a gave away plan. Black kids who have made it didn't make it because of some give away program, they made it because they worked and studied hard in school so they could become someone. Oh yes, the democrats take credit for the kids who make it but they didn't do anything, just the kids. By the way, because I used Black kids doesn't mean a thing. I could be a poor white child that made it.

I have been asking the same question for YEARS now. I just can't understand how come people can't see how little regard republicans have to the common person. They let companies do what ever they want with our jobs with no concern of what it is doing to workers here. they leave our borders open for ANYONE to cross anytime they want. they couldn't give a rats a$$ about the sick and poor in this country. It is almost as it they would just rather they die off or fade into the wood work that give them even a penny's worth of help. Sorta reminds you of those stories in the bible where the Poor man knocked on the door of the rich person and begged for some crumbs and the guy wouldn't even give him a drink of water. Sorta seems like that's how the retardlicans are these days and from some of the responses here those who support them also. AND to all those people who say the dem's are after their money.... Why is it, everytime the republicans are in charge I have to pay taxes and everytime the dems are in charge I did not I got a refund. and no, it has nothing to do with my wages going up under the repubs. They have actually stopped increasing since they got in charge.

Speaking on a majority of Democrats, as a Conservative Republican I believe that they have very good intentions. But it stops there.

I would not trust a Democrat in a time of war nor would I trust one on any other subject to be honest. Their views are not mine and I feel that they lack common sense, especially in a time of crisis.

This is not to say they are bad people, just ignorant. I also agree with the above comment that earlier Democrats are nothing like they are today. Today's Democrats are crazy.

The abortion issue has many people disgusted with the democrats and liberals in particular. The democrats also are stereotypically associated with big government and welfare. When we say we care about the people it is seen as hypocrisy. There are many issues such as gun control which make some uneasy about governmental meddling with our right to bear arms. It's a mistake to lump all democrats in one heap. We don't even all agree on the issues I just mentioned.

Because they don't get the big picture. They feel being responsive to the needs of underprivileged is a sign they may be asked to contribute back to society in order for the democrats to do this. They also like all political judgments made for them without the chance for input which is more prevalent among democrats. In short as long as they have their piece of the pie and don't have to share it they are happy.

Republicans have an interest in seeing the population being able to take care of themselves. The Democrats need victims to take care of.
