During the course of an initiation I may or may not have hugged a tree. ;-)
I am sworn to secrecy. I must never divulge the proceedings of that sacred ceremony ... which may or may not have included the hugging of trees.
OK! OK! So I hugged a few trees!
Don't tell 'em I told!

Yes I have. I've kissed the ground and danced naked in the rain also. Although there was this one tree that was too large for my arms to go around so I had my children help me hug it. It was a memorable experience. And they never let me forget it.

Yes, I have. I was with a group in training at an Audubon Center and we hugged a tree. I was 13 and it seemed kinda silly.

No, it sounds great though, I really like that idea- the tactile thing. I've seen arboretums where kids touch stuff- animals, plants, etc.
I think it's a great idea for kids- adults too.
I shall try it, but with my luck, I'll probably get the one the dog just pissed on.
