I think the World Cup 2010 will be succesful because, not only in america, but in all countries all over the world people are becoming more and more interested in soccer, and in 2014 or 2018, America might win because of so many kids now in america addicted to the game.

Because soccer (futbal) is the most popular sport in the world, the world cup could be in the North Pole and it would be successful. Every Country that has hosted the big event has raised there economy up by more than 10%, so yes I believe it will be very successful.
South Africa has a better economy than other African Nations, I don't think that Somalia is a good site for the Cup.
Everyone is going to have to watch out for the occasional spear, or hungry lions.

let me start off by saying that there is no such thing as a soccer world cup. its the fifa world cup. i know it may sound silly, but thats a HUGE thing...considering its only called soccer to the united states.
anyway, the world cup will definitely be successful cause when HASNT a world cup been a success? even if people are pissed that their team lost, they still watch the matches, no?

because all the past world cups have been successful and every 4 years the fan base grows, so by 2010 i bet over 2 billion people will watch the finals ;] (it was 1 billion last time)

I heard somewhere that USA may host the FIFA WORLD CUP 2010. Has anyone heard anything on this? I can't seem to find any page with this news.

i really dont think so because a globabl power like germany had many resources in their hands, and south africa might not be as prepared when the first whistle is blown. Overall though, all the great countries and players will be present, and every world cup is a special one.

I think that it will for some teams...but the United States team really let the United states soccer fans down because of all the hype and stuff so they had people who didn't pay soccer any mind into it and then they bombed!! that sh*t sucks!!

many players are leaving and almost ALL the teams will change, so we have no idea whats gonna happen. And if South Africa can't handle the world cup 2010, USA might host it.

it is going to be in africa.does africa have the money to host this event?if it does than yea it will be a success.every world cup is a success.
