Why don't American's like soccer?

This sport is really cool. When guys from the U.S. come to Europe, they go nuts and watch soccer all the time, and consequently don't see Europe. However, when they're at home they never ever watch soccer. Why's that???

Soccer is rarely televised in the U.S. Also, soccer does not have much of a history in the U.S. Plus, soccer does not have the same action as American football, baseball or basketball. Additionally, soccer does not permit time outs for commercial breaks - which is the kiss of death for getting soccer shown on U.S. television. Also, the skill in soccer is with the head and feet, which are underdog heros compared to the brute force of the arms and hands.

It is due to the social atmosphere. Most Americans will enjoy any sport you put in front of them as long as they can see the passion for the sport around them. Also, the US has many different sports to offer its citizens. When a person has the choice to watch
American Football
Basketball
Baseball
Hockey
Racing
Golf
Tennis
Soccer
or something else,
chances are they will watch something that appears to be less foreign to them.

Many of us like soccer, so, don't say Americans, like is everybody. Many people like different sport in the rest of the world. Look at the tour of France right now. And we, like the rest of the world, have many ignorant people who say is boring or sissy, without taking the time or having the curiosity and trying to understand it. Baseball, if you don't know anything about, is more than boring. But if you take the time to learn about it, it is wonderful.

Because Americans are too busy eating Pizza and drinking Coke obviously :) and don't even mention football or NFl, because if it was not for NFL plactic companies would go out of business :) if you don't know what im talking about is that when your body is covered with plastic shields then ur a whimp :) i mean start from they call it football and they use their foot only SOMETIMES in the game :)

Different and better choices. You have football, basketball and baseball. All sports that we invented and have loyalty ties to. these sports are also played more by americans. there are a lot of americans who play soccer but you have pop warner and little leauges everywhere here.

That's the way it is in sports, food, friends, everything. Why one person likes one thing, and the other something else can't be explained.
The question could be reversed. Why don't the other countries like American foot-ball ?

well, football is a different material, it actually includes moving, sharing, and co-operating, none of them which are valued in USA. people of USA are bunch of rednecks who are very isolated therefore they haven`t learned to like football. oh, plus the rest of the world doesn`t like them, therefore won`t let them be a player in the game.
USA simply preferes watching bunch of violent men kicking an hiting each other over a ball and spend all year waiting for superbowl.

Because they are not grown up watchin the sport, in 2 generations it should grow. im sure all sports starts of like this as an example your starting to see other country play baseball and basketball. as long as i know its a great game then i dont care wut the americans think
