I mean gees, I've heard stories like when they missed just one pill they got pregnant. That sounds crazy to me, makes me think they might increase your chances if you miss a pill or stop taking them then from before you started taking them to begin with.

YES YES YES YES.
If you are on the pill and you miss a pill and don't RESTART that same month or you stop taking the pills that next month if you don't protect yourself YOU WILL GET PREGNANT. Probably with twins.
Remember that the pill Stops your eggs from dropping so when you stop taking them, they will come down, and sometimes multiple at a time.
FoR ONE missed pill, I don't think you will if you continue the next day.

The pill is designed to prevent ovulation, however, if the hormone dosage is not high enough to do that in a certain individual, then she may still ovulate while taking the pill, which could cause her to be able to get pregnant.
But I don't think, overall, the pill makes you more fertile. I think it's just a coincidence or that some people may have not taken the pill properly or had the wrong hormone dosage levels in their particular brand of pills.

Many times women take 3 cycles to get pregnant after they stop taking the pill. Some pills work differently too, some stop ovulation, while others make the uterus and uncomfortable place for the egg and it will not implant.

I am not totally sure how this works, but a lot of women who do have trouble conceiving will go on the pill for a month and then go off of it and find themselves pregnant. The hormones somehow trick your cycle (not too sure how), but it works. I went off the pill right after a period and got pregnant immediately.

when i got pregnant it was when i stopped taking my pills for like 3 weeks, it was so easy. since the birth of my son i haven't taken any b.c pills in 6 years and also haven't gotten pregnant? so i have wondered the same thing??

i dont believe in sex before marrige thats y i would never talk a birth contol pill b/c im christan and i think its not right to just have sex before u r married b/c the next min the guy might leave u if u get pregnat that is just not right well god bless u

It all depends on the pill.
They can be dangerous for your fertility if you dont use them properly, like you skip several periods.
I think you can skip 3 periods before doing any damage to yourself on the kind of pill I'm on.
Just ask your doctor, he/she will tell you more about the on you are on or the one you want to be on, they can advise you on what one you should be on.

I realy don't know. If it does to would only make you more fertile for a time untill it can full wear off.
I do know of some one that was on the shot and got pregnant.
