Not a girl, but thought I'd mention that studies have shown many many women who undertake this kind of work experienced some form of sexual abuse growing up. Stripping for these individuals can be very empowering because it allows them to re-enact the trauma only this time they have CONTROL of the situation. Very sad really.

I think many of them have low self esteem and are addicted to drugs and that is how they pay for them. But for a woman with some common sense, it'll pay your way through school and set you up so you'll be ablt to retire at an early age and enjoy another job or just relax.

having been raised by a woman who worked as a dancer, i would say it is not a great career choice. not very many dancers ever become 'famous'. alot of them become drug addicts or alcoholis and usually they become jaded to life. (some get raped, and a few have gotten killed) it is not all glamor and fun. it is hard damn work. i would implore anyone who does this to be extremely careful and get an education while you are dancing, (something to fall back on when your looks fade, as the most popular dancers are usually very young because our society constantly tell women that once you get your first wrinkle you are pretty much washed up)
good luck in your career choice,
lily

I think it's sad. A lot of girls who do stuff like that are just trapped there and don't know what to do or how to get out of the situation. I think it is sick how guys think they should be entitled to that. It turns women into sex objects. Life could be so much more than that.

I think it is wrong....to dance for other womens men...that is like a whore...cheating with every man that walks in there...nasty...And same on the guys thats go in there...Most of the ones I see go in the have baby sits in the back...all the strippers need to find a job that takes brains not boobs....

Each to their own, but I don't see how they can have much respect for themselves but at least they are working and not living off the government or depending on some man to do it.

Girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.
If shes happy, then I'm glad for her.
I'd consider it, I'm not against it but not for it either...I'm sort of just in the middle, ya know the part where you dont really have a say

I don't mind it. There would be some very boring bachelor parties if there were no strip clubs, lol!

I think they probably have hot bodies, nice ta-ta's and low self esteem, but big checking account balances.
