Of course. I have been to a Catholic church plenty of times and I am not Catholic. Go and be there for your boyfriend and his godbaby's family. It will be a good experience for you.

If the family has invited you to come, then by all means, come and observe... If they haven't invited you, and the boyfriend is just saying come along, then not sure of the appropriateness of that....

I'd say best way to find out if it's appropriate or not, ask the parents of the baby who your boyfriend's to be a Godfather of...

Of course you can be there. You don't have to be catholic to attend catholic occasions. Also, some churches even would allow you to be the "godmother" If that is what the family wanted. It isn't up to the church who is there...that is your decision!

Yeah you can go too. Make it clear to your BF that you arent catholic though but you dont have to be catholic to go to a baptism. Just like you dont have to be Jewish to go to a briss or bar mitzpah.

Of course you may observe. I am not aware of any mainstream churches who do not allow friends and family of other faiths to witness a baptism.
