I was invited, and signed up, and I do not see anything special about it. Am I missing something?

gmail is still being beta tested and isn't ready to be released to the general public yet. so you must be invited by another member to use it. if you have a cellphone with web access you canb signup yourself without an invitation.

i have used it for 2 years and love it. if you want a gmail account email me at cssiscool@gmail.com

No you won't. Gmail (BETA) is precisely invitation purely. in case you will like an invite, e mail me with the aid of way of my profile (click on my image). genuinely, you technically CAN sign up your self, yet you may desire to do a bunch of mumbo jumbo with a cell telephone and text textile messages. the uncomplicated way is only to get invited with the aid of somebody... like me =)

Google advertises the largest storage for your email. 3 Gig.
Yahoo will do that for $$$. or Google for Free

Google also uses this system to improve anti-phishing, spam, etc. filters.

Yahoo can't say that.

I use Gmail as a all-in-one storage for ALL of my emails. I have only used 160MB of my free 3 Gig. Yahoo starts deleting your email after 10MB.
