When a betta is ready to mate(flirt) he makes a bubble nest for the female. That is the tricky part because she can't be in the same tank with him. Beautiful fish!!!

The males show off like they do to other males--by brightening their colors, fanning their fins and displaying the ruff around their neck in a very energetic and vibrant dance.
If the female is ready to mate, the male that impresses her the most gets the prize. After mating, or if the female is not ready to mate in the first place, the male drives her off...bullying her just as he would a rival male. If the mating was successful, the male takes care of the eggs on his own, sometimes not eating for days or weeks.

the males show off their fins to the females. Whichever male has the best looking fins normally are the ones that get to mate. A lot like peacocks! Oh and they also puff up there gills to fend against other males for intimidation.

I really don't know How they flirt because I have 4 myself.
But I heard they reproduce by leaving sperm and eggs on top of the water.
You know when the top bubbles up.
But definitly don't put them together unless you want them to kill each other.
They try to fight their own reflection.
They are very hateful.
But beautiful.

the male puffs up and strutts around the tank... but i hope you got a male and a female... if you diddnt... one of your bettas will be dead by morning... if both of the fish have huge fins... then you need to seperate them asap!!

put a mirror in front of it and you'll see ... they flirt the same way they fight.

I am not sure they flirt.They usely kill each other.
