nice question to ponder...here are my thoughts...
the Great Beings are... always. they have been, are, and will continue to be..outside of time.
that consciousness chooses to come into form as a recognized teacher at a particular time, for many reasons, to participate in the Divine plan, for reasons complex and difficult to understand from our human perspective. there have been Great Teachers of the different ages with different aspects that each have mastered- human consciousness changes ...evolves through time, and so the message needs to shift, to grow, to become newly defined as we grow and become newly defined. This could be the reason for mass awarness of a particular being at a particular time.
the Holy Masters choose to incarnate, with a purpose of teaching the new understanding. then, i believe they can either reincarnate as an enlightened, but less recognizable being, sort of incognito, but still on a mission of assisting humankind, or they have evolved past the point of human form to assist as non-physical beings. i believe that all consciousness continues to evolve, and that the individuation of consciousness can change form -of course to a higher form, or join with other individuations to become a highly developed collective consciousness- a higher being. yet they are always here - whether or not in human form, whether or not we know of it.
there are many masters alive right now on the earth- doing what they can to assist in our growth of consciousness. are they reincarnated masters on the level of the Guatama Buddha or Jesus Christ? who knows, i dare not to say i know for sure what is so with the universe. but it is fun to ponder...anything is possible.

What we call Heaven, is likewise generally happening because of the fact the Astral plane. that's realy 3 dimensions. There are bigger realities even than Heaven, that our spirit can partake of. Can everyone doubt the consequence the better beings that got here to Earth had on our international. Like Krishna, Buddha, Christ, and Muhammad? Christ after all, isn't a single spirit, or a faith. however the unifying of our Creators very own physique. All of our spirits being a spark of the easy that God is! "because of the fact the physique has many participants, and those participants being many, are one physique, so is CHRIST!"

You mean as opposed to now-a-days when there's no one of their stature apparently not walking down 5th Avenue? Good question. Perhaps there is but being in today's world in all its complications, such a person would be labled a nutcase with a savior's complex and shushed and booed.
Especially the dominate religions (Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, etc.) would not tolerate other so-called truths.
Off hand, in my younger days, I once believed Heaven was an eternal orgasm, and I had one follower!! Don't believe it now because I've since seen the error of ways.

Krishna is reborn each cycle of llife because he is the god of life and death in the Hindu religion.
Buddha was born once but went through several lifetimes to achieve nirvana, Jesus was born once, died, then rose again, never to die again, Mohammed was born once, then died.

I belive these are manifestations of the Isness of existence. They appear when needed and are the world delivering the world a little further down the path. All is as it was meant to be so at that particular time it was auspicious and timely to have existence influence itself for the better through these great people. Perhaps it is soon time for another-perhaps.

maybe they just take another form to let their thoughts be known.,.. that form of god was fit for that age.. this age needs a new form of god to convince us of his thoughts... maybe the next jesus wont be clad with robe but a jeans and eats pizzaa who knows?

Because that's all you need to keep a fake religion going... Something that happened so far in the past that it can't be verified.

Maybe they don't--maybe there are many, but the others were never developed to their fullest potential, or their message did not get out.
