I've tried a few, but I only get like 20 mins for 5$. Does anyone know of a better deal or way?

If you have a Sam's Club membership, their phone cards are the cheapest I have found for the most minutes. However, it may actually be cheaper for the person in Germany to call you, because they have services over there that offer calling cards specifically designed for international calls, which are much more difficult to find here. Have the person check convenience stores and gas stations, even post offices there. :) Good luck!

Try Skype service, a 2c/min, I think is the best.
