A client I'm supposed to start with next week said
they are going to run a background check on me as a
formality.

What does a background check by an employment agency
normally entail? Is it a simple check for felonies,
or a credit check, or what? Just curious.

The answer to your specific case is probably all of the above. Credit checks are now usually pretty standard for those companies that bother doing a background check. They may ask you for family and personal references and emplyment history. A firm large enough for a human resources department only needs a few phone calls to verify this.

The criminal check is more difficult if the client has to pull the information himself. Except for minors, these records are publicly available, but some needs to research all the jurisdictions involve, one by one. Agencies, such as in law enforcement can do a "live scan" fingerprint background check. A compoter scanner is used to capture a print, and is hooked up to a huge, inter-agency data base that is able to pull criminal records from all over the county.

All this labor and checks takes time and money. How complete a check depends on how much money your client wants to spend.

Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at https://tinyurl.im/aH3ND

Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.

You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.

Criminal Records Database: https://wikimedia.im/background-checks
Public records are named so because these are records that are meant to be obtained by public and when you say "public", it could be anyone. Public records can be used by anyone for investigations and other things like genealogy, verifications, and free background check. When you say it is public, there is no need to ask permission to the person who is named on the records or the person that you are investigating. You also do not need to ask permission from the government if you want to obtain such records by social security number. All you have to do is to visit them and follow the process of requesting the public records and then wait for the records to be ready for pick up. Once you already have the records that you need, you are now ready to perform a free background check.

Depending on the complexity of the check, it could entail everything from county & state criminal records, SSN verification, address history, sexual offender registry, etc. It generally does not include credit checks, but could do.

However, the employer has to be FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act) Certified, or get the info from someone who is, which requires employers to follow specific rules and regulation when accessing your data.

>>> Some background check services work, while others do not. My daughter in law used the ECheck one spoken of by the "Anonymous" Detective guy on here. That worked great, she discovered all types of information about a prospective husband that altered the course of her relationship. It helped her to avoid making what would have been a terrible life decision. As for me, I am one of the HR heads at a well-known firm. Our firm is one which relies heavily upon good public relations, so I also use https://tr.im/8b409 on a regular basis to weed out potential bad apples. My primary function at our firm is hiring and reviewing resumes.

Cheers!

I just tried https://backgroundreports.im last year to find out if I could track down my paternal father. My biological father left me when I was very young, and has refused to speak to me since. I grew up with my biological Mother and Step-father. I have only ever seen my biological dad a couple times until now. All I knew of him personally when I conducted the search was his first name, last name, and the street address of a previous address he used to have.

When the search came back based on the little bit of info I used, It pulled up a recent address along with even his phone number. When I called the #, I heard the voice of what sounded like it could be my step-brother. I asked if Joseph(my biological father) was present, and he said no but to try back after 8.

I haven't done anything with the information, But I found what I was looking for.
