You need to see your doctor, as this is not normal. Period abnormalities can be due to many things including stress, hormonal imbalance, thyroid, infection, illness, medications, polyp, cyst, amongst other reasons. Please see your doctor for an exam and testing to determine what the exact cause may be.

yes, i just had the same thing n i had to go thru surgery...i start every 2 weeks having my period then it went to ten days then it went to a whole month straight for four months... i lost 3 pints of blood n they ended up giving me 3 pints of blood before giving me surgery... dont let them give u birth control pills because THEY DONT WORK...their r three things that u can do......
1) u can do the hysterectomy
2) u can tell a docter to seal the uterus and u wont have ur period for 4 months but u will have the chance to go back to the same problem
3) birthcontrol pills... I DONT NOT RECCOMEND THIS
I AM 37 and i reccomend the hysterectomy because at the same time u eliminate the chances of getting cancer.... go get a check up from the docter n ask him the same question

If you are on the pill this should not happen. If you are not on the pill than there are a lot of circumstances that can upset your period. Also my doctor told me that after 30 our bodies start to change...there is no more regularity. Talk to your doctor if you are concerned. I don't think it is anything to worry about....its just frustrating.

It sounds as though you are having some pre-menopausal symptoms. Speak with your doctor and keep a journal of symptoms.
