Shower at night, think about grannies while u shower, use the cold water, turn ur back to the other guys, masturbate right before u go for a shower that way u wont get an erection. Dont worry about it, it'll stress u out too much, and odds are no-one will even notice.

Men have dealt with communal showers for years. In the 50-s and through the early 80-s, just about every high school boy had to take a communal shower every day.
Get in there, and go about the business of getting clean and out. Don't look, and do think about what you have to do next, rather than the other guys.
If you are minding your own business and happen to get an erection anyway, you won't be the first guy. And it might bring you to meet somebody interesting!

Getting caught with a ***** in the shower will ruin your credibility, some friendships, trust, comfort, and your social life will change drastically unless you either come out before hand, or never get a woody; but you should continue to worry. Don't let any of these answers put you at all at ease. Once you feel comfortable, there will be no more anxiety to keep you from getting a hardon in the shower; staying nervous about it is the best way to keep soft.

In, most universities even though there are communal showers. Most showers are divided cubically rather than having eveyone shower in the open. And plus most college showers have doors or curtains, So you don't have to worry about getting a erection.

Have you seen the facilities you'll be using? My college, and most I've visited, have private, individual shower stalls. No worries. If that's not the case, I guess I'd go with extreme self control and cold showers. :-/

Where I go to school at the showers are kinda like cubes, so you won't be seeing others and they won't be seeing you. Maybe you will have the same.

Showering is hygienic, not sexual.
You're not supposed to get an erection. BEsides, most showers have cubicles, even if they are communal.
