No but when I was doing my road test for my driver's license yrs ago, a flock of birds was coming towards the car, the lady doing my test screamed and ducked, I didn't and hit the birds. Because I didn't duck, I got my license! *bow* Thank you... True story.

You are not the only one. In case of me, just a couple of weeks ago I had a great excuse. The mini-van in front of me hit a wild turkey and the feathers flew over the van and hit my car. I had to think quickly to avoid the turkey and the van at the same time. Talk about wanting to duck.

I do this to. I think it's just the body's way of reacting to something that's coming straight for it. And since I'm busy seeing "through" the windshield (not "at" the windshield), my brain forgets it's really there between me and the bird.
BTW: "duck, duck, goose..." Try doing this in a convertible on the expressway...

Never happened with a bird but when big bugs hit the front glass I move my head to avoid them. It's a normal reaction I think.

yeah i think so, where i live you have to cross a long bridge over a lake, and there's lots of big/small (mostly huge) birds that fly really low to the ground over the bridge, or some seem like they play chicken with eachother and see who can swoop down the closest to the car! I do kinda tense up because if you hit one, it would break your windshield and everything (we arn't talking about robins) These are pelicans and cranes.

Not really. However I sure get the pucker factor when a bird flies in front of me when I'm riding my motorcycle!

Yes. If it's a duck.
(You do not want to ask me what i do when a goose flies in front of my car, though.)

No, I just step on the gas to move the bird faster.
Then again, driving a hummer, I'm not really scared of anything.
be it a bird, or other smaller car.

LOL
I do that too. And if there is a bird (or whatever) in the road as I'm driving, I yell at it to get out of the way! Like it can hear me or understand what I'm saying.....
