I'm in Houston Texas and my mom died when I was just 13 and I used to cry and take that out on everyone around me until many people used to tell me I should be an actress then I never thought about it but one day I was sitting down and started thinking hey this is my thing I grew up acting in elementary and I want to pursue this goal and I wont let anyone stop me. So my main problem is non of my people have my back they think I wont make it I'm 17 and I want to make it I've searched numerous sites had so many contacts I'm looking for sponsors to help me I'm in real need please help!!!!

Actors don't have sponsors, you're on your own.
What have you done to further your career? Have you interviewed with the talent agencies in Houston?

Get involved in community theatre and read, read, read! Be familiar with playwrights and various works. It takes lots of work, talent and education.
