Uncut is weird. I'm sorry, but I'm just not used to it. It's not as clean either.

I laugh - and sometimes get frustrated - when people spout how dirty or unclean an uncircumcised penis is. I'm uncut and I've never had any problems - no infections, no smegma, no smell - you just have to wash it like any other part of your body (it's actually REALLY easy). An uncircumcised penis is just as clean as its owner; chances are if a guy's penis isn't clean, he's probably not clean overall anyway.
And though there are some medical articles that say being circumcised will lower STDs or HIV contraction (the HIV one was rejected from many medical journals I've read), they're usually biased. Most credible medical articles say that there's no significant difference between cut and uncut (what's 1-5% anyway?).
I'd say being uncut is better to have. At least if you're REALLY unsatisfied with it, you've got the choice to get it cut. If you're circumcised at birth, you'll never know if you'd like it or not and if that sucks for you, then oh well.

Previous posters are incorrect. The American Medical Association has found no correlation between bacterial STDs and foreskin.
The foreskin does consist of a different type of tissue, much like the covering of the head of the penis. For this reason, intact men gain significant additional stimulation along the shaft of the penis, compared to circumcized men. Several thousand nerve endings are removed when a man is circumcized. (Girls - how would you feel if female babies had part of the clitoris removed at birth to reduce sensation? Would that be OK with you?)
Having a foreskin does require appropriate cleansing - it's no different to washing the rest of your body. The foreskin should be pulled back during a shower, and the whole area washed. There will not be any smell or build up of secretions. (There will be if these simple procedures are not adopted).
Lastly, to the 'it looks nasty' comment. Girls, take a good look at the labia - many men find it a disgusting looking area, but they don't ask you to have the lips cut off your vagina so you look nice to them.
Thankfully, only about 40% of male children are now being circumcized in America - the percentage used to be MUCH higher. And in the rest of the world, almost no other country mutilates its male children, other than for religious observance.

All the people freaking out about uncut penises, get real! Do a little research- and about hygiene, a cut man can have worse hygiene than an uncut man! If a guy is going to be gross and never shower I'm not gonna care what his penis looks like. It's a personal responsibility, and if a man can't handle using a bit of water to clean out a flap of skin, what does that tell you about him! Personally, my bf is cut but I almost wish he wasn't. Not that he isn't awesome, it's just that I feel bad for men who are cut. They didn't even get any say in the matter! I know I would be pretty pissed off if I grew up and found out my parents had had my genitals cut up.

id rather my man to have a circumsiced penis because of that fact that its a bit easier to keep up with cleaning wise, and its not a turn of as to a guy who is uncut. when a guy is uncut its a total turn off and its disgusting looking to me, from my point-of-view

Better to have a cut penis. Uncircumsized penis's are not preferable for the following reasons;
1. The skin can trap moisture and dirt which creates bacteria and mold so when the girl goes down to give oral, it STINKS!
2. Less chance of transmission of STD's (proven in medical journals).
3. Less Chance of transmission of AIDS (proven in medical journals).
4. Easier to clean than cut penis.
5. Women get more pleasure and stimulation from a cut penis.
