Are the graphics good looking without a HDTV?

Just got the Xbox 360 1 week ago. The graphics are great, but I don't have an HDTV either. That will be my next purchase. Also, I agree with what someone else said here regarding the limited amount of games. I am sure more games will be realeased in the near future.

I dont have HDTV and it looks similair enough to HDTV which my friend has. Unless youre a graphics freak, the 360 looks beautiful on any tv
the only game worth buying is Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. by far the best game ive ever played, and ive never even heard of the other 3. other than the sports games of course. Prey isnt too bad either but other than that 360 has nothing good yet

It is an excellent system, and looks great on my non-HDTV as well as my HD set. Yes, you will miss out on a LOT of detail without watching it in HD, but it is still the best looking system on the market, and with all the troubles Blu-Ray is having, the PS3 isn't likely to be a real threat to XBOX this time around. Especially since the Cell processor is one of the hardest processors to write code for, meaning it will take several generations of games before the PS3 lives up to its hype, errr... I mean "potential".

They are still good but the out lines of objects (like people, buildings, ect..) and words on screen look more defined with HD so it is easier to make out stuff better and it does make the graphics look a little better.

hell yeah, the graphics r awesome, but to the person who said that they're arent many games, there r tons of xbox games u can play plus all the 360 games

I don't have an hdtv. and they are still good! but there aren't to many good games yet.in my opinion.
