Yes Human race would still be existing, if were not able to walk upright. But the intelligence factor would have not been the same and hence the civilisation would never have been so advance, maybe only territorial.

One could question as to whether human predecessors not evolving walking upright would have produced humans or another species.
The development of walking upright freed the forelimbs to develop better hands and become more manipulative allowing the development of more complex tools in conjunction with evolving more intelligence which facilitated the development of more complex tools which in tern provided additional benefit to more intelligence etc.etc.
It is not necessary to be the "dominant" species to survive and evolve. Most species extant today are not the dominant species. Although the evolution of intelligence has allowed humans to become the dominant species, our earlier ancestors, although more intelligent that the other species of their time, were certainly not the dominant species and were probably relatively easy prey for large predators.

Our bipedal locomotion is essential to our current level of intelligence. Since our very earliest ancestors did not need their hands for walking, they were able to use them to make tools and so forth. Once that happened, intelligence became a brilliant survival adaptation rather than just a side effect of a larger-than-average brain.

No, standing upright is what allowed us to evolve hands (with thumbs), which allowed us to craft tools and learn things. Without these intelligence would not have developed.

I would imagine our intelligence, not which way we stand is what sets us apart. The world would probably not look the way it does today, but we are still able to process so much more information than other living things in the world.

Errrrr. didn't we evolve through being on "all fours" (apes etc) and we are here as the dominant species now? if we weren't dominant on "all fours" we wouldn't be here now would we?
So intelligence MUST be a greater part of our success.

No. All our power is in our walking stance. Without it, lemmings would have taken over the world.
