I had an interview with GE for a position that I knew involved an amount of travel and relocation. Well, when I got there, they had basically changed the program, requiring significantly more travel and relocating, which definitely turned me off.
Then, during one of the interviews over the 2 day process, I asked one gentleman for his business card. He told me that was the most important question I could have asked him. I mentioned something like, "that says something more about you than it does me."
I didn't get the job, but I didn't want it after that.

Mine was when I was living in Dallas. An awesome opportunity came up in a small town about 50 miles south of Dallas. The money was worth the drive, so I went for the interview. I was dressed very well, my hair was done, I looked great. My qualifications were above and beyond what the company wanted. The lady who interviewed me was in her mid 50's and dressed poorly. She comented that my shirt was untucked and I politely pointed out that it was made to be worn out. Then she made comment of my tongue ring. Why she was all up in my mouth, I don't know. I didn't get the job since she never even let me tell her of my experience or qualifications. It was total crap. I was so mad!

I was dressed for my interview with a very conservative company. I was wearing a skirt, blazer, blouse, pantyhose, and a great pair of shoes. Before the interview, I stopped for gas. I was standing on the island instead of on the ground (please don't ask why). While pumping my gas, a friend drove by and beeped. I waived enthusiastically and tumbled right off the island, still holding the gas nozzle.
My knees & legs were covered in blood from the fall. And I was covered in gasoline. And the interview was in 5 minutes. Well, I went to the interview! Please keep in mind, I was only 20 years old and trying so hard not to break into tears.
Best part - I got the job! I think they took pity on me :-)

I was once asked what I would do if I got pregnant again which is illegal and had nothing to do with that job but I answered it cuz you dont want to alienate the person. I never did have more kids since then and I thought it was disgusting. Men are not asked such questions!

Haven't had a bad job interview, but at one of the music colleges I applied to, the interviewer (who turned out to play the viola) thought I was making viola jokes and got quite offended. but that didn't seem to affect my application, and they offered me a place! But not going there anyway!

my worst experience was at this one interview, i was sitting facing a window, and it was super bright outside. i couldn't help but to squint my eyes, and even that didn't keep them from watering. the person interviewing me was some old lady, and you would think she could tell it was bothering me, but no.....yeah, was pretty bad. of course i couldn't stay focused on her questions, and no, didn't get the job.

Oh man that sucks. You know the best thing to do in that situation is to turn them down before they turn you down. You walk in and look around and then comment on how it's completely not what you're looking for and leave.
You have to turn down what you don't want in order to make room for what you do want.
