i think it just runs a much higher risk of infection, to leave the wound open. It may start growing in a tiny bit, but not enough that you'd have to get repierced, you can just push the earring back through (it will hurt about as much as getting them pierced). However, if you are removing them for swimming, I've found that cholrine makes even my years old piercings harder to put back in.

No it wouldn't grow in. You might get a covering of skin or debris over the hole opening, but the inside hasn't closed. Make sure your earrings are clean as well as your ear before reinserting them. A little rubbing alcohol is good.

no, probably not, but don't leave it out for more than like a day or 3/4 of a day, cause then it might start growing back in, but i highly doubt a few hours is going to change anything.

My piercings heal up very quickly, i took my tongue bar out for 6 minutes once - and it was a ***** trying to get it back through!!!

I wouldnt do it, cos it mite hurt to get it back i, and you run the risk of infecting it.
If you need to take it out cant you just cover it up with a plaster?

I really don't know but it'll probably be very bloody and painful if you take it out so early. Wait till its been 5 weeks and then take it out and don't put it back in... it'll eventually close
