Minger is one of many Scottish words that have spread around Britain. It means a dirty, smelly or unattractive person. I heard the word minging many years before I heard the word minger, and mink and minker are also used in parts of Scotland.

According to the dictionary on my computer, it is an informal term that originated from the British. It refers to "Minger" as an unattractive or unpleasant person or thing.
EXAMPLE:
Why can't anyone see that Spencer is a complete minger?

a Minger is a breed of Human who isn't very attractive, or is wearing clothing that's not been washed in a long time..
Basically if you think a person was ugly, and you'd never talk to them even if dared, and/or offered money to do so, you would think they were a Minger.

A 'minger' is a person who does dirty horrible things, eg: stirs his tea with a grotty horrible teaspoon, or someone who eats a sandwich with mould on it. Another example is young lads will call, lets say, an unattractive girl, a 'minger'

It's generally a term used for ugly people, but I've also heard people refer to flamingos as mingers too...
