the host is the server that has all of the files for the web page (.html, .js, .css, etc.). You don't have to have Yahoo host the site, but you do need to find a host, and tell yahoo where the host is (IP address).

You then need an FTP account on the host to put your files there.

Also, a personal recommendation, don't use front page. The code it creates is the worst I have ever seen (except maybe direct from Word) and may do strange things to other browsers. If you want a wysiwyg editor, go for dreamweaver, its worth the money. I personally just do the HTML by hand; you can find information on all the tags at http://www.w3schools.com/html/

If you want to run a website/internet business/adsense

This is what you do:
1. Register a domain
2. Get a web hosting deal (eg free domain name hosting http://www.currentwebhosting.com)
3. Get a ftp program.
4. Get a html editor
5. create a website (there are free templates on the Internet)
6. create an ftp account
7. upload your site

or

you can start a blog. (http://www.blogger.com)
1. you dont have to buy a domain name
2. you dont need to buy web hosting package

Getting a Webaddress is only the first step. You now have to get a webhost, a place that stores your webpages for people to view. Though I am not familur with Yahoo's setup, I believe they do offer some webhosting.
You can go with another webhost. You have to research some. If you want Front Page, you have to find a webhost that supports Front Page Extensions

After you purchase a webhost, you will need to direct the Webaddress to the webhost. You set the DNS servers to do that.

After setting the DNS servers, it will take about 1-2 days for those settings to update the internet. Then you can type your webaddress and get to your website.

Hope that makes sense.
