To captmhunt: The CD-R allows you to burn pictures, music and data, so I had maked like a slideshow which contains photos and music- it look like a movie, well small one.
The picture is stoped is not last unfortunately.

The first problem is that WMM[Windows Movie Maker] is not a format to burn a CD or DVD with.
To burn the CD, you need to convert the wmm file to a dat or mpg file. And for a DVD, you need to convert it into a VOB format.
Your players cannot "read" wmm files, which is why the issue. Also, the Media - CDs and DVDs don't support wmm files.
WMM files are only for sending over the Internet and are not meant for burning.
The video, in it's original format, was probably better suited for burning than the converted version.
You can get software that convert wmm files to CD and DVD formats, but they are very expensive. Please ask the people who sold you your CD or DVD writer to tell you how to use the bundled burning and converting software that they've installed on your computer to help you more practically.

your computer does not have the capabilities to run the video at the hi (300+)kbs rate you made the video at. The sound is fine because it is encoded in a different format at usually 64kbs or less. Dont listen to some of the people here who are pretty dumb, no no no making it at a lower speed where do this people get their info from. In any case if you have a DVD player try and see if it will play the file. It should be fine, the resources in your computer are just too low to process what your player requires thats all.

some people were almost ryt lol...first to verify it was NOT the burn that is bad....copy the file back to ur desktop and see if it plays..it probably will, but if not problem solved reburn it. Alot of optical drives will "time out" when playing a file off of a cd (theres some registry settings that can be adjusted to avoid that or a different firmware for your drive) or it could be ur machine is slow like the other guy said...
...to play the file in a dvd player thats "divx" capable you can use either cd or a dvd but you may have to convert the file to a compatible divx or xvid avi file first....videohelp.com can get you going on that.

Is it the last picture? or does it stop in the middle. If it is the last picture perhaps it just waits for the song to end. If it is not the last picture, but it just stops, try reloading the project and save it to disk again. If the problem persist then try to get the latest release of Win Movie maker if you have not already done so.

Could be incomplete or 'unfinished' burning especially if your original file on disk still works. Try burning again and make sure any check box for 'finishing' is checked. (This is because if a CD is unfinished, you can still burn to parts of it that are not used yet.)

as you have saved the project
does this play or stall?
the best speed to copy to disc is 2 thirds the speed of the disc
especially if its a full disc
some of the early comments should help aswell
