As it applies to subjects such as adultery, murder, moving house.... The things in general that people say, "Oh! I haven't given it a thought!" or "I would never even think of it!"
I mean, if they have a plan/opinion then they can't be making it up on the spot, right?
Especially if it involves hiding bodies, allaying a jealous spouse's suspicions or moving halfway across the world.....
Remember folks,this is in fun!

Yep, everybody thinks about all those things, at least idly. People who have detailed opinions or plans and tell you they've never thought about something are lying. They too have had steamy fantasies about seductive adultry, carefully laid plans of murder most foul, and the nearly overpowering urge to run away and start fresh. Perhaps the fact that they would lie to cover their schemes means they plan to someday implement them? Hmmm...

people retain information(subconsciously) without even realizing it. for example if you watch the same program ( the news, oprah whatever) or listen to the same song or even hear the same words over and over again you store that info in you mind ( subconscious), so when a conversation arises you already have an opinion about it,though your initial response may or may not be how you really feel. people have a tendency to speak without thinking. ( did that make since to you?)

I usually say, "I never thought about it" when I have in fact thought about it in great detail, but I am afraid of what would happen if someone new that I was thinking about something (not adultry or murder; much more trivial things, but still...)

I don't fully understand. But, "I would never even think about it!" kinda smacks of thinking of it beforehand... I guess.
