Boot your computer using the WIndows Operating System installation CD. (If it won't boot from the CD, make sure your CMOS is setup so that the CD or DVD drive is higher in priority than your hard disk or RAID array.)

Early in the installation process, you'll have the opportunity to delete partitions on your hard drives. Delete the partition(s) on your drives and create new ones. If you don't have a specific reason to do otherwise, it is probably best to create one large partition and install Windows on that.single partition.

If you need to actually wipe sensitive data from your drive before reinstalling Windows, use a program called Cyber Scrub to make the data on the drive non-recoverable. Depending on the size of the drive and the deletion method you choose, this may take awhile.

Good luck!

Booting from a CD and formatting the hard disk unconditionally should do in most cases (unless there's top secret stuff in there).

You can do this without downloading any software, just format the C Drive.

Your windows CD should have FDisk. You can delete your active partition, then repartition and reformat.
