At my job, we are having a re-opening of a newly created Koi Fish pond. We are planning to have a "Feed the Fish" type day with the kids in the area - and were wondering if anyone has ideas for this event?
We already have fish-type giveaways, and will be letting each child help feed the fish - but...how else could we implement the idea of Koi fish in the celebration?
(There will be kids of all ages there)

Thanks! <3
Heather

I always loved the booth at the school carnival where a child would take a stick with a string and a paperclip on it and cast the "fishing line" behind a giant picture of a pond. Behind the picture, there would be some adults that put candy or a small toy on the fishing line and tugged it so the child would know to "reel it in."

Have pictures of Koi to give away in a drawing or take pictures of the kids feeding the fish. There are many cool japanese paintings of Koi that could be given away.

Remember to limit the amount of food that is fed to the fish or you'll have to remove the water and start all over again from too much waste!

either fish pellets or dog biscuits(pedigree chum mixers being the best). they like to take the dog biscuits out of your hand but you have to chuck a dozen in to ween them on to it 1st.
