She's never coming out with another Harry Potter book after the 7th one. She may keep the world and just create new characters, but chances are Harry will die with Voldermort, and Ron and Herminone will continue live and love. And that will be the end of Harry Potter.
Personally I think that how she is handling the whole series should set the standard for people who are writing series. She set the limit on the books, and instead of stalling just to make more money, she is letting the story die a normal death.
I hate it when authors come out with books just because the public likes the characters. Anita Blake, The Wheel of Time, The Sword of truth authors have all been guilty of it. And it ruins is a dynamite series with books that are pure drivel, and the bad thing is that everyone expects us not to notice the difference. Just as long as we buy the books, they don't care if we actually enjoy them.
J.K. enjoys writing them, she loves the world not just the money and it shows. So let the characters and series die it make the books better.
