And that most terrorists that have bombed around the world is due to the animosity toward Israel and the west's support for it? Do you beleive no terrorist actions would have occurred if we had given Israel to the arabs, internationalized jerusalem, for after all, its a religious icon not only to judaism, but christianity and Islam as well. And given the jews nebraska, american citizenship and 200 billion dollars (amount equal to our investment on the war on terror)?

No, I recall that he said that it was the west's support for Israel--and our hypocritical way of supporting his faction in Afghanistan.

if we had not supported israel and not gotten involved in me except for our oil interests, the only one that would be getting attacked would probably be israel.

Bin Laden orchestrated the 9/11 attacks in response to US military bases being established in Muslim territory. At least that's what he said.

Remember that Islamists were the closest ally of America and the West in their war against the Soviet Union, their common atheist enemy. Remember that without US-supplied Stringers, Ben Laden and Co. would not have been able to shoot down the enemy aircraft. Remember all the financial and moral support the then called Mojahideen, sometimes called-by American politicians-freedom fighters. Go a little back in time during WWII and recall the political support granted by America to the very religious freedomfighters in the European colonies. The American president went even further and reminded the Old Europe that peoples in the world had the right to choose their goverments and their destinies. And don't you forget that if America decides one day to choose a less biased stand in ME crisis and stop playing the servile servant of a gang of bloodthirsty expansionist Nazi war criminals, the whole world, including the moslem nation and the Arab world will of a sudden remember the brighter spots in the history of America and the intrinsic need to suppport the oppressed of the world embedded in the pschye of the America people. This metaphysical hatred targeting America is a lie, a myth used by the Jewish lobby and the power-crazy moneygrubbing oligarchy to further the objectives of the unholy few in America.

If you're going to ask inane questions like this I can only suppose you have the sketchiest knowledge of the history of the region.

Israel has always been in a special situation when it comes to support from other countries, including the US. Israel's neighbors have, and have had, the stated intention of "wiping Israel from the map." That level of intensity seems to DEMAND a more aggressive response from Israel's supporters than might apply to other countries facing hostile neighbors.

I truly believe that if the Palestinians would find it possible to just stay out of their own way, things could and would be resolved peacefully. Internationalize Jerusalem? Don't you mean give it to the Moslems?

Return the Palestine to the Palestinians? Frankly, their only hope for any real prosperity is to work with the Israelis (one place to start might be to quit arming Palestinians and pointing to Israeli buses) and gain from Israels own prosperity.

To blame support for Israel as the reason for Sept.11th is ridiculous. American intervention all over the world makes the U.S. a prime target. US policy supports Israel with one hand and supplies arms to countries that don't with the other. As far as giving Israel Nebraska, then the Israellis would start attacking neighbouring states, could be fun because then more than rocks and an occassional mortar round would be fired back. Stop funding Israel, back the Palestinians and watch how quickly Israel backtracks.

I can see why you would ask the question....In answer to the question no it wasnt ONLY because of Palestine...and i think Kanemochisan's answer is interesting as this theory has also been put forward by some very intelligent minds...

In response to DR- Do you even KNOW the history of Palestine?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

If you really wanna know why Muslims (and millions of non-Muslims AND Jews) are so angry about Palestine look at www.aqsa.org.uk. Its an unbiased account of how Israel STOLE Palestinian land and have been using perverse methods to repress the people and stop them fighting back so they can take over the land completly. Such methods include going into a classroom and shooting dead a 9yr old girl....They want to create a climate of fear so the people dont fight back....And guess what? A NON-MUSLIM told me this...a peace activist called Helen who went to Palestine and saw first-hand Israeli soldiers shooting at kids (with live ammunition) because the kids were throwing tiny pebbles at their tanks.....She herself was beaten by Israeli soldiers because she begged them not to hurt the Palestinians and she showed us where her arms had turned black from bruising where she put them up to defend herself (they hit her with the butts of their guns). May Allah reward her and her friends who are fighting to protect the Palestinians who live in fear every second of their lives...Look at www.intifada.com for more info.

DR and LS- Educate yourselves.....I mean, fine, if someone intelligently puts forward an opinion....but when an UNEDUCATED person puts forward an opinion....*blows raspberry*.....Read your history textbooks children....and THEN come on here and see if you can still make comments like that..

Our involvement in Israel has gotten us nothing but more enemies in the Middle East. But this is a price that America must pay. The U.S. is a mostly Judeo-Christian nation, especially in politics. But do I think that terrorists find it easier to side against us because we support Israel? Of course. That doesnt mean, however, that we can abandon our ally during one of the toughest times of its history

Yes and no. US created the Taliban to fight the russians who were invading Afghanistan. After the war, Us left the Talibans there, with no aid and no help to rebuild the country. Because of US's sudden abandonment after the war, the Taliban no longer considered themselves as allies to the US, and they want revenge now for US betraying them.

With Israel, they want to start a war in order to claim more land and oil, simple as that. Is it justified to start a war with another country just because of 2 kidnapped soldiers? In the past, Israel has kidnapped soldiers and civilians from other countries, and has traded them back for their own on numerous occasions, so why not now?

These attacks were likely focused soley on the US. I mean they could steal plains form Egypt or surrounding countries and smashed them into Israeli sites (Sure ISrael would probably shoot down the planes before they did).

But many terrorists think Jews or/and Israel runs the US.

All that terrorism would have still happened.

Bin Laden has 3 targets (in order) :
1. Arab governments that do not strictly adher to sharia (Ilamic Law)
2. The Israeli "occupation" of Palastinian land
3. The US.
The US makes this list because it bankrolls, supplies the military hardware and diplomatically supports the continues exiestance of the other two.
So, my answer to the question is a partial yes

according to the art of war, one principle for victory is to let your enemies fight first among themselves, and when they are weakened. It is time to pour all energy to achieve that goal.
With this in mind, the 9/11 is not done by iraq or muslims conspiracies. It is done by other else and let the blame be on the muslims. If the muslims really want war, why would they do it in minute scales and retaliation is certain. No sensible military or political leader would fire a shot and knowing he would be hit back by a bomb. It's simply illogical. If the muslims really want war, they should have sent nuclear weapons, en masse.a blitzkrieg. But they did not. So why blame the muslims?

No, we were attacked due to our Oil purchases propping up the Saud Royal family government of Saudi Arabia, and the military base that we left there after the Gulf War.

bin Laden had been expelled from Saudi Arabia for attempting overthrow, before he went to Afghanistan. bin Laden (and Saudi Wahhabi) consider Saudi Arabia to be the most holy ground, and he wishes to create a new Caliphate of Islamic government there - a truly holy land - in his view.

Our Invasion of Iraq was an attempt to "finish" the Gulf War by current administration officials (Cheney,Wolfowitz,Pearle)who were in the Bush Sr. White House at that time, and chaffed under Bush Sr.'s refusal to invade. It was thought that the "grateful" Iraqi's would allow the US to put a base there to replace the one George W. Bush removed from Saudi Arabia to take pressure off of the Royal family.
