My doctor gave me a sample Nuva Ring and I tried it last month and hated it. My period lasted really long the first week i put it in, and I had horrible discharge every day. I wanted to take it out early, but I was afraid that it would mess up my body. So I suffered through it and finally took it out 2 days early. The discharge gradually stopped, and I was expecting to get my period early because of the stupid thing. When that didn't happen, I didn't think much of it, and waited for my natural start day a week later. That was a week ago. Tuesday the 11th. I am trying to figure out how I could possibly be pregnant. We only made love maybe 5 times in the past month and a half because of all the problems this Nuva ring has given me, and we used condoms every single time (we always do). What is happening with my body??

The discharge was blood or something else? I would be more worried about the discharge than my period being late. I think you did the right thing by stopping the Nuva Ring. Nuva Ring has hormones, so it's going to mess with your period, especially if you start it and stop it suddenly without giving your body time to get used to it. Take a pregnancy test just to be sure and then monitor for signs and symptoms of a possible infection from the ring.
