I'm talking about self-fulfillment opportunities - to have the jobs that make you happy, or the chance to succeed in your own business. I'm not talking about the personal happiness that needs to come from within yourself no matter where you are.

I think it depends on what self-fulfillment needs you have.

If it is the need to work at a large TV Station, or for a major newspaper or large corporation, then a big city would make that easier.

However, if it is the need to open a family store or small restaurant, it would be easier in a small town.

Depends on you, and what makes you happy, and what environment will give you what you want.

Hope that helps! Good luck!!!

The city offers a lot more career opportunities that you can choose from. Though if it's a job that alot of people want you may have a hard time getting into it. Alot of jobs in the city pay more too. Though it also can depend on what career makes your happy, like if you are looking for a wildlife reserve or something that you could do in the country or a small town it would be much easier for you to get a job in it. If you start your own business i think it's much easier in a small town less people to compete against. My aunt and uncle both have their own business in a small town and do well.

I understand you thouroughly. I reccomend that you keep this idea in mind regardless, but do consider one other point. We want to keep the country beautiful, so don't go crowding it up just for a new idea. You can turn the city beautiful. Just do as you would in the country. It would have to be really good or you'll still look like a competetor to all the name brand stores. Ifyou mean a nine to five job all day in office, then no you will never find fulfillment. Life is not meant to be spent that way. I believe entreprenuerialship is the recomended way to focus. You can take any degree course from a college or university, true, but you can do whatever you want with it. Even if you want to make millions, you will have to spend hours just worrying how to keep your public image up. Its also not worth it. Think about it some more.

It just depends on what the job or business is. The city offers more opportunities, but also more competition.

Absolutely yes. everyone needs to find their place in the sun. For me, it has been the big city. Now that I'm starting to figure it out, I realize that I would be happy anywhere.
