Education trains us to learn to use our brains to analyze and evaluate--to think outside the box. If we are to develop spiritually, we have to be able to use these higher-order thinking skills. Additionally, education trains us to formulate our own opinions and not just accept the status quo. We must realize that there is a big difference between simply following the crowd--religious doctrine and formulating our relationship with the Divine--spiritual growth.

There is no point in starting from scratch if you have great works done by other people to spring of from. An education gives you that.
