I only wish every stupid liberal moron like yourself would take the 5 seconds it took to go to the Department of Education website and look up the facts. The facts are right there. Let me ask you a question, why are you so blinded by your political ideology that you can't even take 5 seconds to bother to look? Whoever told you that Bush cut the budget was lying... but will you listen to them again? I would be willing to bet you would listen to them if tomorrow they said Bush cut defense spending and it was hurting our troops, you robot.
Look at these tables, the budget for the DOE is twice what it was under Clinton, and has increased almost every year, you seem to think that if there isn't a constant increase in all programmatic funding, we hate our children. This is the thought pattern that will bankrupt the nation.

Bush pushed through the "No Child Left Behind" program forcing school districts to spend more money. Then he began to cut education funds. Schools needed more money. Local taxes went up, and up, and up. The poor and middle class now pay more taxes locally than ever before.
Tell the truth, the whole truth...... Bush only lowered taxes for the richest 1% of Americans, his so called Tax cuts, coinsiding with mandated school budget increases, and education funding cuts, caused local taxes to skyrocket. Bush Raised Taxes!

Not much of a start. There is a lot more that could be cut and should be.
The Federal government has no place in education. It certainly isn't a power specified in the Constitution, and as the 10th Ammendment states, those powers not explicitely specified in the Constitution are delegated to the states.

Regan, declared that ketchup was a vegetable for school lunch.
King George the 1st said: Global orbital nuclear platforms are good, broccoli is bad.
King George the 2nd said: We can't afford to buy books to educate our kids because we need more laser guided bombs.
You are surprised by another Republican budgetary fiasco?

Ok, if you knew anything, this would be a dumb question. I'll inform you now. 90% of education is funded by STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENTS! Cutting education at the federal level does absolutely nothing! Get informed....................if i'm not mistaken, no child left behind was suggested by a democrat?

Yes I did know but Georgie has to finance his middle east meat grinder somehow. Besides all the people that are affected by him slashing education don't vote anyway so why worry about them?

Education is just pork-barrel spending! Besides, why bother educating them decently when they're going to be sent off as cannon fodder?
