It was the very next cycle for me - three times. However, I have learned that it is important to try to wait to become pregnant for a month or two after stopping the pill. Allowing time for the medication to leave your system. Also start by taking prenatal vitamins BEFORE you start trying to become pregnant. Prenatal vitamins taken before pregnancy and throughout pregnancy helps prevent birth defects.

I got off my pills and was pregnant right after. Since it regulated your periods it can help your cycle stay normal so one you are off the pill your ovulate normally. Believe it or not many couple that are having a hard time conceiving are put on the pill for a month or so by the doctor and taken right off again since it does help regulate the cycle. That is how my mother got pregnant with my younger sister. It also depends on what type of pill you are taking. Talk to your doctor about any potential risks involved or how long it MIGHT take. Its always a good idea to see your OBGYN before trying to conceive.
I've been on the pill for 10 years, I take Ortho Cyclen, and though I got pregnant I was not trying to. I was actually very shocked. I had a miscarriage from an accident and have not actually tried to conceive.

It happened different times for me, one time I stopped the pill and got pregnant the next month another time I stopped and got pregnant about a year and a half later then the last time I stopped I got pregnant 4 months later so its all different even for the same person.
I had been taking the pills for like 6 years the first time, then 8 years the 2nd time and 13 years the 3rd time.

I had taken the pill for five years and I became pregnant the very next cycle. Took prenanal vits and gave birth to a healthy 8 pound baby girl.
She's now 14 months old and I stopped taking the pill again and I'm already pregnant. It happened the same way.
Good Luck

I took them for 6 years. I stopped taking them and got pregnant 1 month later. My doctor had told me to use alternative methods of prevention for 30 days because he wanted me to have 1 period first, so that he could accurately date the pregnancy. It has nothing to do with getting the pill out of your system since they are out of your system the day after you stop taking them.

I took birth control for...about six years. It took me a year to get pregnant after stopping. I almost thought it wasn't going to happen, but kept trying. Also took advice from a nurse friend and held the sperm inside of me a couple times overnite. It worked, and it ups your chance of having a girl. I'm nine months pregnant. it can give you a yeast infection possibly, but it's worth it to get pregnant.
