Sometimes, it can be something as simple as giving someone special treats that you know they enjoy. This can be food or soaps and lotions, etc. Many people at this age would rather have something useful that something else to put on an end table that will gather dust!

my grandma just had her 75th and she was happy with the phone call I gave her since I havent seen her in so long. otherwise go with a gift cert for any type of entertainment they enjoy because material stuff is usually of little value at that age. as my grandma says, whatever I want at this point Ill go out and buy it so i have everything I want. id rather see and do something with the family.
