because they have powerful governments telling them they can get away with this. if half the Arab world was supporting you, paying you, protecting you, and giving you weapons, you'd eventually start believing you were important.
and then, when you committed violent crimes against Israel, and the whole world condemned Israel for coming after you, you'd start believing you were justified.
and then, when the fighting picked up, if other countries were threatening to jump in and help you, you'd start thinking you were invincible.

They are not stupid. They are completely absorbed by their ideology. Their belief system is so foreign to Westerners that what they perceive as logic is unfathomable to us. That does not, however, make them stupid.

they were bred to hate anyone who's not like them. guess they under estimated the israeli army. their military is very very strong.
