Fritz Walter, the Captain of then West Germany when they defeated mighty favourites Hungary 3-2, to win the World Cup for the first time in 1954.
Such is the esteem he's held in Kaiserlautern, that they've named their stadium after him.
Incidentally, Fritz Walter, is the player that Franz becken bauer looked up to, when he was playing.

Dont know much about the Kaiserslautern history, but when I look at the all time world cup scoring chart the only Kaiserslautern player I see is Miroslav Klose so i'll stick.
I think someone got mixed up with bayer leverkusen.

Dont really know the History of Kaiserslautern, But when they had that great run in the Champions League (Final at Hampden v Real Madrid).
Everybody was raving about Michael Ballack, But i always liked the Turkish midfielder BASTURK.
Thought he was a great wee player and his tackling and ball winning allowed Ballack to stand out
So BASTURK for me
