loubean give an intersting point. She wants to "protect" "traditional"
marriage by denying same-sex couples benefits.I dont need to tell you some of the bile that cannot be said by some conservatives on this site who use that argument. This lie that divorcees are in the right to deny them"damn queers" any legal protection cannot and will not hold forever.

As for gay conservatives,they're self-delusional.

Because just because you are gay, doesn't mean that you support the socialism and marxism of the Democratic party. It doesn't mean that you support their cut and run military ideas, and their wealth distribution ideals. Just because you are gay, black, hispanic, or any other group, these people are still thinking Americans, that understand how our economic system works. Capitalism. I know that Democrats don't understand it, and just talk about raising the minimum wage, and other bad economic ideas. Don't assume that every minority's life revolves totally around one aspect of who they are. That's why many vote Republican..and more and more each election. Thanks for asking

Republicans are not anti-gay, as the left tries to paint them as. I am a conservative Republican, and have gay friends. It is the definition of traditional marriage that conservatives want to protect. People who are gay will tell you themselves they are non-traditional...and noone is trying to say that there should be no union available to them...it would be something different than marriage, however.
And....the Republican party is so much more than their views on marriage...

That's a good question; I am certain most all of us Republicans are still trying to figure that one out. Most likely, they vote Republican because they have a twisted sense of values.

Id say it is in their best interests.

Some gays (I am not but have many gay friends) believe in a strong defense or offense and also believe that a bigger govt is not the way to go

Maybe they have no interest in getting married. Also thier most important issues could be the war in iraq and money. Rich gay people might be more interested in their financial situation.

remeber in the last election. Kerry said that he didn't support gay marriages either. He said it should be left up to the states. So he either really didn't support gay rights, or he was just giving his usually lies to get other votes.

Maybe, if they're average working class gays, they like getting screwed like the rest of the middle class.

Maybe, if they're rich gays, they like doing the screwing.

Maybe they're more interested in the greater good than in their own personal gain.
