No, as far as I know, the iPod Nano 2 GB doesn't support video formats; you should buy a 30 or 60 GB iPod Video (http://www.ipod.com) . But I recommend you not to waste your money for an iPod only because of the brand. You can buy many other models for a lower price with more features such as FM radio, voice recorder, direct CD converter, etc. I reccomend you Creative Zen V Plus(in 1, 2, 4 GBs & playing videos), or Zen Vision, You can see anything about them here: (cheaper but better)

no only the 30gb and the 60 gb play....and 60 is the other size that you forgot....the 30 gb is 299.99 and the 60 is on hundred dollars more....if you like me and will probably want the next ipod that they come out with because they do somethign even better than playing videos i'd get the 30 gb because you'll probably never fill it up in the amount of time it takes them to make a new one

Yes, you can. Don't listen to all these idiots that know absolutely nothing about iPods. You just have to hack it, which may sound illegal and hard but it's neither nor. It's very easy in fact, and you can learn how at http://iPodForum.co.nr/ It's called iPod Linux and does a lot of cool things. Not only can you watch videos but you can also play tons of games like Doom, Half-Life, Quake, Pacman, Tetris, all the Mario and Supermario games, and a lot more. There is picture proof on the homepage of http://iPodForum.co.nr/ and the link that's called iPod Linux Pictures on the homepage. You just have to register in the forums and you can learn how. Good luck!

no, only iPod video can (30gb, 60gb). The iPod video is made for Videos because it has lots of memory to hold them, because they take up a lot of room. The Video function is not available for Nano also because the Nano was made before the Video, so it wouldn't have the software to. Besides, who would want to watch a tv show on that small of a screen?

not sure, but I know the 30 gb ones do, I think the 2 gb do also, but you'll only be able to store about 6 videos on that,

No.
Consider this. The 2G or Nano as they call it has such a small screen that you wouldn't enjoy it anyway. On top of that the small 2G limit would fill up very fast with videos on it.

No, the smallest one that does is the 30gb, just because videos take up a ton of memory. Here's the specs:
