Here are the other four nominees:
Brokeback Mountain
Munich
Good Night, And Good Luck
Capote
Don't you think that these were all better films than Crash?

Brokeback Mountain didn't have "shock value" what in the f*ck are you talking about? It was a simple, sad love story. If you are still shocked by homosexuality, maybe you should try leaving the 1940's and live in the 21st century a while.

Crash looked fake. My vote for: Brokeback Mountain

I saw Crash and Brokeback Mountain. I thought Brokeback had much better character development, and an unusual story. I thought Crash was a little too preachy and predictable, and there were too many characters and situations. To me it felt more like a TV episode.
I know the gay angle is controversial - but as a movie I thought Brokeback was much better. you have to accept it on its own terms.
Hey, you don't have to approve of slavery to enjoy Gone With The Wind. I'm not saying Brokeback is in the same category, but it provides a window on a life few of us know much about.

That's kinda subjective question. Honestly, I think Crash deserved its win, because it was a good way of honoring the cast and director, without nominating all of them. Brokeback won Director, as it should have. Capote got Best Actor, good good, I don't remember if Munich or Good Night and Good Luck got anything, BUT Crash was a much more relevant film to people today.

Crash was awful. Munich was even worse and so were all the other movies (except I never saw Brokeback Mountain cause I thought it was a ridiculous movie that never should've been made, since when do movies support gays and get nominated?

i only saw crash and brokeback mountain. i personally don't think that either should be best picture: brokeback mountain wasn't as good as people said it was and crash was just 120 minutes about racism. i would probably have chosen good night and good luck to have been best picture. it looks the most well done.

I have to strongly disagree with you. Crash did deserve it's best picture Oscar because it was a great acting, direction and storytelling. That is what makes a movie, the one that excels in all those departments! This movie was based on todays realism of racism, prejudice and coarse charateristics of the average human. It showed that even though the characters had no connection what so ever they inter-related with each other in some way.

Munich was the best, Capote second and BrokeBack a close third. But Good night knocked out Capote. Munich was another Schindlers list and Broke back was politically incorrect.

Brokeback should have one... but Crash was very good. I think that because so many actors were involved in Crash, that it just got more votes ( because of the connections with the actors with other Academy members)

I've seen all of these movies, and I think that Crash is the best of them and deserved Oscar.
I just don't get why people eulogize Brokeback mountain so much??? The only good think in it was Jake Gyllenhaal.

I hadnt seen the rest. I'd only seen Crash. But I have to admit Crash was one of the best, intelligent movies Ive seen in a while. I really liked it and I think it deserved an award.
