Sounds like it, any time you have to PAY for anything that is Won or FREE is a scam. If you are still intrested, check with the company for details, check refrances and past winners.

People here are going to have an opinon and can't say devinitly due to lack of infroamtion and involvement, as well as ther eown experiance.

Most of these kinds of things are rip-offs. At the very least, they are trying to get you to put up with a time-share sales pitch, and will charge you the full cost of the trip if you fail to show up for the sales meeting.

Depending on what you are doing, $198 sounds like a lot just for taxes.

If it sounds to good to be true, it usually is.

Who is collecting the tax? If it is the place you "won" from, I would suspect it is a con. It is normal to have to pay on anything you win that is worth money. But usually it is paid out to the IRS or your state tax collector. Not by the place you won from. If in doubt, check with your state attorney general office or the Better Business Bureau.

198.00 for a vacation isn't too bad. Do you have to listen to a sales pitch or something, too?

If you go, and it is something you wouldn't have done before, I say it is worth it.

Have fun!

If it sounds too good to be true . . . it's a scam.

I'll bet they want you to use your credit card, too. In some scams the main idea is to get your card number, and any other personal info they can get from you.
