For the person who said watch the wheat being harvested. There is not wheat fields in Iowa that is kansas.

I was born and raised in Davenport (part of the Q.C.)

Depending on your age Wacky Waters is a lot of fun. Bring your sunblock though I got 2 degree burns there. It was awful.

If you are older the Rock Island district at night it is a lot of fun for adults.

You can go to a baseball game at John O'Donnell stadium.

you have to eat at Rudys Tacos and Harris Pizza and Happy Joes these are a must.

As for Iowa city I am not sure I know it is a lot of fun though.

I don't know about the QC, but around Iowa City I can think of a few fun things to do:

There's a good beach that not everyone knows about out of town westbound on Hwy. 6 toward Oxford. It's at a park called Kent Park, and you have to pay a few bucks to get in, but the beach is nice and soft and sandy, and the water is not full of reeds, and they have a outdoor shower to rinse sand off.

You could also walk over and explore the cemetery east of downtown that has that big creepy Black Angel monument. I forget what the cemetary's called, though. It's in the neighborhood around Governor Street.

Another cool park in Iowa City is called Hickory Hill Park, over again on the east side of town. Would probably have to take a bus from downtown to get there. It's more scenic and has some trails for running or walking.

If you're not into the outdoors...lay around inside, try not to die of sweating, and rent a lot of movies while drinking beverage of choice.

On hot days like today, stay inside and chat with online friends or late in day go to Mississippi or Lake McBride and get in water for a short while, not want to get sunburn.
Go Hawks! from a fellow Hawkeye fan.
