It depends on which workplace politics you are dealing with. My least favorite is the one where the son of the owner gets to do whatever he wants and disregard all rules and policies that could possible end up causing an Enron-like situation...But that's what I have to deal with.

Adjust to it. Get get used to it. There have always been and will always be workplace politics. Just learn what they are, how to use it, and take advantage of it when you can.

The best advise i can give you is just do what they ask for a while.... dont argue with any of theyr politics... i did that where i am and now i am free from them ALL !!! as i guained theyr trust and because i respected theyr rules now they respect me.... i can even come working with jeans now and it was forbidden before....

that is my personal advise and it doest apply everywhere i know that.... but if you can well it really worked for me.

just don't tell them your thoughts on events or whatever is going on because 9 times out of 10, they won't agree with you. i would stay out of it
