You didn't state what material they were made of. If they are denim, you can wash them again and stretch them out while wet. Then hang them on a hanger that has clips at both sides of the waistband. Letting them air dry will let them stretch back out some.

Ive noticed that alot of my clothes have done this.......most of the time they dont stretch back...bummer..but just remember next time to look at the tag and see if its going ot shrink...then get them a little bigger than you need so when you wash them there is room to shrink! thank god that really long shirts are in style these days or i would be wearing a belly shirt by now!

If you have the recipt go back to te store and say i would like to return this and say the tag wasn't on the shorts when i bought em

depending on the material wash it again, but this time strech the fabric when it comes out the wash and don't dry it in the dryer air dry it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They didn't shrink you just got bigger....no way to stretch them out...
