This happened to me. Didn't show up at all on a urine test, but at 14 weeks, it showed on a blood test. Sometimes your hormone levels are low enough that it won't show up. If you aren't drinking enough water and staying hydrated, it may not show up either. So drink a lot of water for a few days, and then take another one. If it still comes up negative and you have started, call your doctor.

Hi there, the HTPs dont usually show until maybe 2wks after you conceive. A week after I got pregnant, I used about 3 kinds of HTPs, and all of them showed a VERY VERY faint line--almost non-existent! My husband thought it was just a shadow, and I was just imagining it. But I wanted to make sure, so a week after that, I took a few again, and the line began to surface, although it was still very light but a bit more distinct. My advice is to make sure you perform the test in a bright light, and look if there are any faint lines. It's pretty easy to miss, since the line is so very light. I tried brand name ones but they didn't work as well as the one you buy in the dollar stores...
Good luck to you!

My test kept comming up negative 2 weeks after I was late. But I know people who didn't find out until they were 5 & 6 months. The most accurate way is 2 get a blood test. The blood never lies.

I think it's more common to get a false negative than a false positive. You could just not have enough of that hormone that home pregnancy tests require. So yes, it's possible that you're pregnant and the tests just aren't detecting it yet. I've known a couple of people who have had the false negatives. Good luck.

Yes it is possible. They're making all kinds of new tests so that we can know sooner than a missed period. Just watch TV and look at some of the commercials. I'd go to a Dr. now. This way you can know how to prepare your body for pregnancy.

With my son I didn't test positive until after my period was due and I had some spotting. With my daughter I tested positive at 5 weeks. If your period was due on Wednesday you should be testing positive by now. If not, better luck next month.

I didn't have this happen to me - but I would say, wait a week or so and if your period still has not come, try again. Repeat this cycle for a little while - if you don't want to wait that long and deal with it - you can ask your doctor for a blood test. They can do that since you have missed your period. Good luck!

I never got a positive with my daughter but this last pregnancy I did at 3 weeks. Those things are not that accurate. I say wait another couple days and then call your doctor for a blood test. Congrats to you!!

Yes you still could and the problem could be that you are producing to many hormones for it to register. Get to the Dr for actual blood and urine tests and that will tell you for sure also it will let you know if you should be encountering any problems as well
Good luck and have fun trying
