Didn't know that show was still on the air. Didn't know anyone watched it after the first episode.

Its all about having their 15 minutes of fame. Because most of the contestants have little to no actual talent, they struggle to maintain a career in the public eye. Their careers go about as far as exposing themselves in lads mags and giving interiviews about their battles with anorexia or something. Interest is lost in them as soon as the next reality tv show hits our screens. I think the only big brother contestant who has really managed it is Jade Goody. She's got a couple of colums in magazines and there are stories about her every week. She's probably the most famous. Craig from the first series does some dodgy DIY show on sky and Alison Hammond occasionally does some work for this morning but other than that I really can't think of any others. So no, it defiantley does not garantee long lasting fame.

Most people who go on BB get fame for a few months, going to a few parties or premiers, but as you said the majority of them just fade into a distant memory. Its only really Jade Goody, who didn't even win, she came 4th has really made it big, but I am still not sure for what reason, I think the public just really took to her, she is a millionaire now, and I also think that Chantelle from Celebrity BB will also last quite a long time, she has that likeable factor, but I can't see any of this years mob lasting the distance

The first ones to be evicted don't spend much time on the show, it's like the youngest daughter on Family Matters...you never saw her, so they phased her out...but no one will ever forget Steve Urkel. If they're on the show longer you'll be more inclined to remember them.

what, Bonnerrrr and Sezer? I think sadly, once dullard Imogen is kicked out Sezer will have another 15 minutes of fame as they pretend to be the romance of the century and feature in Hello magazine.

It is past its sell-by date and the series are too long now they are scraping the barrel for contestants and the more outrageous your behaviour the more you seem to be accepted- it seems you have to have issues rather than be funny or sporty interesting etc whats the matter with the viewing public they seem to adore the eccentrics.

Who cares about the fame? I just think it's the best reality tv show running right now. It's such a head game....I just love it.

It depends...but you are right, you usually don't remember the ones who go first. However if you stay for a few weeks, I would bet that people will recognize you for the rest of your life.

Occasionally someone comes along who's worth remembering but usually, yes, two seconds after they've gone we forget them.
